Manga is a Japanese graphic novel, typically intended for adults, characterized by highly stylized art.
Anime is a Japanese style of motion-picture animation, charaacterized by highly stylized, colorful art, futuristic settings, and sexuality and violence.

Manga is the Japanese equivalent to comic books. Where as Anime is the Japanese equivalent to cartoons, but with a wider variety of genres than American cartoons.

anime and manga are basically the same thing except that anime is in television/ movie form(animation) and manga is like books and magazines ^_^.........ANIME IS AWESOME!!!!
