My friend and I are trying to come up with some costumes that can be made out of household items. Any suggestions would be greatly appreiciated.

Card Board Boxes. When I was a child, a friend of mine came to school as a chocolate chip cookie, it was cool ( I thought) she had 2 large brown card board circles cut out, then she had dark brown marker or dark paint bits colored on the card board for the chip part. She had brown twine or ribbon holding the 2 cookies together over the shoulders( and probably on the waist too). And she wore khaki trousers and a brown turtle neck. I will never forget it, because it was the simplest yet the cleverest costume. Made out of house hold items. I remember asking Carey " why are you a chocolate chip cookie"? She said because my mom thought it would be cool! and we both laughed.
