I have to do a reasearch paper for school and it has to be a compare and contrast paper between two notable people in the same field or expertise (like Queen Elizabeth 1 and Mary Queen of Scots) and i wanted to do Marie Antoinette but im not sure who else i could do so lemme know if you can think of anyone.

Try Catherine de Medici. She was also a Queen of France, originally from a foreign country (Italy), and was not liked by the French populace.

I thiink Catherine De Medici is a great idea or if you want to go opposite you could do Isabell of Castile. She started out not even thinking she would ever be queen, but because of circumstances she became queen. Her and her husband ruled together,but he never had control over Castile. He was King of Aragon. Where Marie was weak in her duties as queen, Isabella was strong and actually would be seen fighting for what she believed was her destiny. Good luck!

Well in short we was basically like Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, or Lindsay Lohan is today except with political power. She into parties, fun, the latest styles, shopping, etc. Unfortunately for her, this was during a time when France was going through their revolution and something that had set the French public off was Marie's spending habits and extravagant lifestyle which led to her execution and the fall of the French monarchy.
