speaking as a sag who has dated a few cancers in my life, it is a difficult combination. sag and cancer make great friends, and it is easy to blur the line between friends and partners. cancers have good sense of humour, which is important to sag, and cancers tend to be very complimentary which can appeal to the sag ego. (at first) cancers are usually very witty, and both probably enjoy exchanging one liners. But ultimately, cancers are way too emotional and moody for sag. Cancers finds sag way to blunt and oblivious to their feelings. sag find cancer too clingy and needy. cancers want someone who will make them feel needed and sag just wishes cancer would lighten up and have fun. Cancer has a cold cruel streak when mad, and sag has quick temper. Either way, I have seen this combo often, and if you do your whole charts, you may have more in common than you think.

It depends on your rising sign. The rising sign determines the way you express your inner personality. So I am a cancer with a Sag rising. I find most of the predicted matches for cancer to shy and pouty. BUT, you can't change what is the core of a person which has a lot to do with their sun sign. A cancer will want more depth than a sag can offer. Cancers will be frustrated by a sag.

Unfortunately, Sags and Cancers are a horrible match. Cancers are way too sensitive for Sag's often blunt and harsh words. Cancer is way too homey for a Sag that wants to go out and see the world.

My husband is a cancer and I am a Sag and we truly have something out of this world. I feel so luck to be with him. We have been married almost 8 years. I think you have lots of hope with a Cancer; but he must be a kind person first and foremost.

Don't believe in signs much but my ex was a sag and I'm a cancer. We found that we make better friends.

not really but it just depends on how much space they will give each other to think and compromise. sags usually bluntly say things out of nowhere and cancers usually just take notice or also bluntly say stuff depending on how they raised. if anything good will come out of this union it would be that they will keep each other strong from being open minded.

not necessarily, you have alot of other planets and sensitive points like your Ascendant (rising sign), the Moon's nodes, etc
It could be --and is likely--that one of you has the rising sign of the other's Sun sign. Or the Moon in the other's Sun sign. That is what keeps you simpatico.

Nope. But both are given to bouts of depression and are easily discouraged, so it would take a lot of time, patience, work, and anti-depressants to make it work.
