Do you think he got off easy?

I am ashamed of him. Kenny Rogers is a good pitcher. He didn't need any help. I hate to admit this but I can no longer root for Kenny. What he did was wrong, and he knew it.
I am also mad that Tony Larussa didn't ask the umpire to check him out. If he had Rogers would have been immediately ejected.
Leyland would have brought in Jason Grilli (probably) and The Cardinals may had a chance to win.
However, he did go in and "wash his hands" and went on to be score another 7 scoreless innings.
No Excuses for what happened.

I think The Tigers still would have won that game, but now it will be forever "tainted". If The Tigers win I wont feel comfortable saying we beat The Cardinals fair and square.

I dont think the other Tiger pitchers are in on that scam, so they are "safe".

I am a Tiger fan, and will always be. I am proud of what they have done this season.

In a way I hope The Tigers dont win The World Series. If they did people will not consider us "true" winners.

Thanks Kenny, as a long life Tiger fan I appreciate your "honesty"

perhaps it replaced into perhaps it wasnt. One man or woman right here says airborne dirt and mud comes up black thats authentic evcept the airborne dirt and mud at Comerica is clay it is pink upload rosin to the it would want to seem mor pink. I somewhat have had pine tar on me many situations in my life and properly it not in any respect stains because it appeared at the same time as washed of Kenny's hand notwithstanding Clay will stain a touch. however if it replaced into then please clarify how he were given extra constructive after it replaced into bumped off. With the so called tar he gave up a walk and a success in the first inning after the so called pine tar replaced into bumped off he not in any respect gave up yet another hit til the eighth. seem Kenny is having a fabulous put up season and sone followers and anmouncers in basic terms cant cope with or clarify that. Kenny will back pitch in recreation 6 and back have yet another large recreation and could damage the put up season scorless inning record it is 27 he now has 23 scorless innings this put up season.

Didn't watch it...not sure what happenned...about 25 years ago (wow!) I recall George Brett of the KCRoyals having a Home Run "overturned" when Yankees manager Billy Martin protested the amount of pine tar Brett used on his bat....supposedly there was a forgotten rule that a batter could only use so much on the bat. Boy, was George POd!

Since the officials never took the time to examine it and prove if was or was not cheating, there is no where to go from here. He's innocent until proven guilty.

But yeah, it was pine tar.

Whatever it was got cleaned off before the 2nd inning. He shut down the Cards for 7 more innings. It was all him. The umpires should've checked to see what it was. That was their mistake. Nobody will ever know.

I definitely think he got off easy, despite the fact that he was able to pitch an excellent game after washing it off. Breaking a rule is breaking a rule, and he should be punished for it.

He got off a little easy but he may not be able to pitch the rest of the series depending on what MLB decides

If he broke any rules and got away with it, it will go down as one of the greatest pitching feats in WS history.

1st-I think there is way too many questions about it on here.
2nd-the umpires ruled it as dirt and Larussa didn't argue, so its over.
Besides-he pitched better without it!
