Three of the top issues are 'The War in Iraq', 'The High and Rising Cost of Healthcare' and 'Gay Marriage'. Other issues include 'The High Cost of Fuel', The Environment/Greenhouse Effect', 'Stem Cell Research', 'Child Pornography and Sexual Abuse', 'The Minimum Wage', 'Urban Sprawl', 'Homelessness', 'Illegal Aliens/Undocumented Workers', Youth Gang Violence', 'Nuclear Arms Testing in North Korea', etc. All political parties, Republican, Democrat, Independent or Green, have, in their ranks, persons on both sides of the issues. Your question appears to be part of a school assignment and, probably, deals with opinions and statistics. I recommend that you, yourself, choose three issues and search the web for articles containing statistical information. The answers that you receive here will give you opinions, but the answers will vary greatly - take the issues I mentioned in the beginning and multiply times ten; multiply that number times two, for the two parties you are speaking to; multiply times two, again, for the pro and con sides of each issue. This will give you five hundred-twenty different answers to deal with. Think about the results you are trying to achieve and (seems silly, but it works) work backward: if I want this type of answer, I have to ask that question, etc. Good Luck.

How will you ever learn anything if other people do your homework for you? Why don't you hop over to Yahoo News and find out for yourself?
