damage, possibly to internal organs. I have not ever had shots of alcohol, only mixed cocktails, so I don't know.It does not sound right though, so go 2 a doctor.

In the end, you've set yourself back. Whether it is gastritis or an ulcer, you put yourself at risk by drinking or eating fried or spicy foods. You may feel better for the moment, but it is going to come back with a vengeance. Stick with your plan of an upper GI and look in to trying out Tagamet, you can now get it over the counter. I suspect, with your history, that an ulcer may be a closer diagnosis, and this may help for the moment until a proper diagnosis can be made. Good luck.

alcohol temporarily numbs the pain and hyperactivity of gastritis. Unfortunately, it is only temporary. It could easily have caused internal bleeding. Suggest you see your doctor.

The alcohol probably killed off some bacteria in your system temprarily numbing the pain, but not a FIX.
I'm sorry you feel that way, one of my friends had kidney stones while she was pregnant. she couldn't even MASK the pain, without harming the baby. So thank God your not a woman huh?
