My husband has been lagging on filing for our divorce and I have no idea how to go about it? I can't take off a lot of work but I really want this marriage to be over with. Can someone give me some good tips on what i need to do?

call a Divorce Attorney . Make an appointment and take it all from there..

Call your county municipal court. They can tell you what paperwork is required. If you don't have kids, you can do it yourself. Go to your neighborhood office supply store and look in the 'forms' area. They'll have divorce kits that you can use to file with. Some states vary in what's required, so DO call the domestic division of your municipal court so you're not filling out more or less than required. It generally has to be TYPED too, so you may want to ask. Otherwise, you'll get it all filled out and notarized and be turned away the day you want to file.

Best thing to do is find a local divorce attorney! Shop around for cost though before you make a final decision!

Check with your local courthouse. Sometimes you can file the papers yourself. I did. Only cost me $168 to get my divorce.
