My friend seams to be afraid of me. That sounds weird. She is willing to go into gay bars with a friend from work, which she is not involved with. I have asked her if she would like to go with me and she won't. She does not want her other friends to know that she is gay even when they are. She is afraid that work will find out that she is. I love her so much but sometimes it hurts. What can I do???

You can get out of it, it's her decision. If she doesn't want them to know then you need to respect your friend's wishes. She can't be you, she has to be herself. Quit pushing her.

Are you serious? Wow, this is kind of ignorant and your grammar..... Dude it's not your place to say when it's time for someone to come out, first off. Second, what's it to you? The grass might be greener on the other side and then again it might not be. Just because people are nice to you doesn't mean they're nice behind closed doors. I know SOOOOO many friends that were kicked out of their house and disowned by their "nice" parents. Put it this way, if parents are "cool" they'll initiate the talk. Not the kid and hopefully it'll be an accepting conversation not a "You're not GAY are you?" Oh and dude this has nothing to do with race either...
