I found math very challenging when I was in school. If you do not have a good teacher or a good textbook, then it is really difficult to grasp Algebra. If you are trying, do not blame yourself. I would recommend going to your library and checking out books that explain Algebra in easy to understand ways. I really like "the easy way" line of books. There is a book called "Algebra the Easy Way" that you may find helpful. Another good book is "Practical Algebra: A Self: Teaching Guide". If you are a visual learner, there are some good math videos too. "The Standard Deviants" is one that comes to mind.
Sometimes the best way to learn a difficult subject like Algebra is to teach yourself. So go to your library and start exploring and look at amazon.com for reviews of other books. Don't give up, you can definitely improve your grade!

Ask for extra credit. There is no time to be depressed. If you have been taking notes all year ask your instructor can you turn in your notebook for a grade at the end of the school year. Ask how can you get extra points. If not start asking fellow classmates to see there notes. Sometimes you can understand math from a student explaining it better than the teacher. So find two or three smart people in your class that understands their lesson. Find out if your instructor will work with you one on one or a group session. To make you feel better there is always someone that is doing worse than you. Find out how you can turn your year around and make the best of getting out of the class.

The best way i know to improve your grade is to study. Algebra is the type of math where you learn how to do by building on what you know. So, you need to do it every day and get good at what you are doing now, so the next thing will build on it.

The best way to learn a math is to do problems...lots of them. Do more than you are assigned as homework. Reading a math textbook can be like reading a language you don't understand. I would suggest not even reading the text and jumping right to the problems. Then go back and consult the text as problems arise. This way, the text has a purpose, and is no longer abstract.
Other than that, talk to your teacher. Your teacher doesn't want you to struggle, and doesn't want to fail you. He/she will be able to tell you your options (e.g. after school help, tutors, etc.).

Honey algebra is not anything. I am already in the 7th grade taking pre-algebra that is what you call hard. We are learning the same stuff that my moms class is learning and she teaches at a Highschool!! Get over it and stop being a baby.

Seriously, just study! I know algebra sucks, but it's something you have to take. Ask your teacher for extra credit work, and possibly staying after school for a little tutoring. Good luck! :)

Has it helped being depressed? I thought not. Usually poor performance in math stems from believing that you can't do it.
Connect with someone who doesn't know your track record. Ask them to explain it.
