I understand you have to let a virus "burn itself out." It is different for everyone. In the meantime you need to rest and take the medications, if any, the doctors gave you.

I once suffered from Chronic Bronchitis. I would suffer sometimes 3 to 4 times per year! I have been getting bronchitis twice a year for 26 years. On my antibiotic it usually takes me about two weeks before I really start feeling like myself. Once you are on the antibiotic for 48 hours you are not contagious.
