It does happen sometimes and it is possible that you are pregnant, but I would take another tomorrow on your first pee of the day. Your first pee will be least watered down and contain the most hcg, which is what the tests detect.
As for me, I once got a + and - and it turned out that I wasn't pregnant. Take another test. It will put your mind at ease.

I had a positive and a negative result with a home pregnancy test. You could be taking the test way too early. I was pregnant,
but took the test too soon. You may want to wait a few more weeks and try to test again. Hope this helps!

Done both. If you think you're pregnant but the test is negative, wait a day or two and try another test with your first pee in the morning. The urine is more concentrated at that time. Some women don't produce enough hCG hormone to register on a home test, so a blood test is more indicative.

Yup my first was a positive but very faint so I bought a different brand came out negative,,,called my doc and took a blood test and was definitely positive...very very rarely are there false positives,,the pregnancy test picks up hcg hormones and they are only found in pregnancy, and the 2 test I took was a cheepy and that is why it came out negative, so i recommend the more expensive ones..

Yes I have, the first time I was not preggers.
Then a year later had that same result again, and I was preggers.
Turned out it was a bad test all four times. What are the flippin odds of that?
When in doubt go to your doc. If you dont' have insurance go to the local health department, they will do the test for you and fairly cheap. Just be sure to tell them about your home pregger test results.

Yes, I took 3 home test's...and the first one came back positive, but it was so light I didn't know if it took properly. So I took another one and that came back negative...So my sister told me it happened to her and told me to take another one just to be safe, so I did and it came back positve. I was confused so I emailed the company I purchased the test's from an dthey told me that if any of the test's I took came back positive them I was pregnant. So I wanted to be 100% sure, so I went to the health department and tested and found out I was indeed pregnant. My advice is to definatly go to your doctor and get a test there, cause sometimes them store bought test's are inaccurate...Good Luck!!!

OMG, this just happened to me & I asked this same question. I had a Positive result yesterday then the next day another test said negative. I still don't know but am going to my Dr soon! Let me know how it goes with you.... Good luck too!

yes i got a positive but then took another one with a negative result,
i was so confused so i got the blood test done and it was negative, im not pregnant.

well to be honest, buy a pregnancy test that reads "pregnant" or "not pregnant." its easier. but the HCG hormone,that the test detects, is only found in pregnant women. try a new test.
