I have a linkys wireless hooked up to my desktop and then my laptop is satelite can I still share the printer to my laptop and how I cant get it to work , I have it on share but it wont download my software for it to be put on laptop(printer software) I dont know how to answer you that have typed back to me sorry.

Your configuration is unclear. The laptop and desktop need to be on the same network, i.e. running off of your wireless AP/router. Then the share on the desktop will be visible to your laptop. If both are on the intentet then you need to open up the firewall to allow MS networking through, which isn't advisable.

~ You do not need a software to make your printer to work; but you need the PC on, where the printer is physically attached.

~ And make sure you activate the sharing of you printer.
