I was induced two days past my due date with my daughter but only because there wasn't enough fluid left. Induction in no fun. My mom had four kids (out of five) that were born two weeks past her due date so hang in there. The due date is just an estimate. They can be off. With that in mind the last few days are difficult so if you want to speed things up try doing squats. Hold the sqat until you feel the pressure of the baby's head increase and then push. This will help you dilate and efface so that you can go into labor on your own. Good luck.

i'm no longer an OBGYN yet i'm a midwife, and right here in uk we are predominantly to blame for labour and delivery of children. until eventually the health of the mum and/or infant is compromised then there is truly no reason in any thanks to set off before 40 2 weeks- each and every thing you've suggested is ideal. A due date is an fairly not basic wager as to at the same time as the child will be born. children come at the same time as they are waiting, and a mom it truly is authorized to labour evidently in a number of of situations has a faster labour, calls for far less discomfort alleviation and a lot less intevention than a females whose body has been compelled into labour. you also might want to have an interest to carry close that seventy 5% of first children are 5 or extra days previous due. Being 2 days previous due by technique of itself does no longer advise that labour ought to be triggered. *well worth noting that inductions fee extra, consequently the health facility that performs an induction receives extra from the coverage organizations than in the journey that they enable the mum labour evidently... cynical perhaps, yet there is definitely actuality in this*.

Oh, I feel for you...In my past experience your doctor shouldnt ever let you go past 2 weeks post due date. If I were you I would go to the hospital and tell them that you have been feeling pains quite consistently (even if you aren't), chances are since you are already past due they will keep you and induce labor. The worse that could happen is they will send you home It worked for me...Good luck!

depends on your doctor...usually a doc will let you go about 2 weeks, because your due date is just an estimate as everyone ovulates at different times, it there is a medical reason I am sure the doctor will induce, but it is best to go into labor on your own.

You probably won't be induced until you are at least 7 days overdue. Your Dr will be the one to make that decision so if you are really uncomfortable and ready to see that little one call your Doctor and find out what they want to do.

usually the longest they let you go past your due date is 2 weeks...try asking your doc if he can cut that time down to within the next week or so...the placenta starts shutting down after 42 weeks..so if your ABSOLUTELY sure about your LMP then suggest that induction happens sooner

SPEAK UP !!!!
