This is evident from the fact that there is a tremendous competition amongst the film makers to produce remakes of old hits which tantamounts to copying and stealing ideas. Can they not produce original sutff now?

Making original movies may not be an easy job, but why should the viewers should be compelled to accept any trash produced by Bollywood film producers?

You know, it's often not the people who write films that suffer from intellectual bankruptcy, it's the people who finance them. They are the ones not willing to take the risks of doing something different and then loosing money. They are the ones who push for a formula to be used again and again until it's dead. Look at Hollywood. The same thing is happening there. Since films are so expensive, they aren't willing to take the risks necessary to keep the artform alive. That is why there is such a growth of independent films in the US. That is where the true art is, and sometimes it works and sometimes not.

This is a money for your dreams industry. If it means original, remakes or anything, it doesn't matter. As long as the product sells no one complains. Yes there are many original stories that get pulled of cinema halls within 1/2 weeks leave aside reaching smaller towns.

The team which built Bollywood has retired. The new guys are just following them and they don't have patience to create a original stuff. They want easy money.

Yes it is. Most movies, if you look at it, are just remakes of other films or focusing around two people falling in love.

its not dat easy makin original films alot of the ideas r taken so theyr pretty limited !

i feel it is overflowing black money that plagues the bollywood
so it must be arrogance not intelligence or innocence
