There is a really fun game that we used to play with my church youth group and they just loved it. It's called Mafia and all you need is a deck of cards. You can also play it with a large or small group of people. Everybody sits in a circle except for one person who will be the "mayor" of the town. The mayor will be in charge. The mayor will pass out the cards which will determine what role each person plays in the game. Nobody should show their cards to anyone else. If you get a spade, you are a member of the mafia. If you get a club you are a policeman. If you get a diamond, you are the doctor. If you get a heart, you are just a citizen. Depending on the size of the group the mayor needs to stack the deck so that their are only 1 or 2 mafia for a small group (the larger the group the more mafia players you should have), 1 or 2 policeman for a small group (again more for a larger group), only one doctor no matter how big your group is, and everyone else is a citizen. The object of the game for the mafia is to kill everyone off before they find out who you are and the object for everyone else is to try to figure out who the mafia are and kill them before they kill off the whole town. A round of play will start when the mayor says "everyone go to sleep" and everyone closes their eyes. Then he will say "mafia wake up" and "who do you want to kill?". The mafia will then have to agree on who they want to kill. Then the mayor says "mafia go to sleep". Next the mayor will say "doctor wake up" and "who do you want to save?". The doctor will then try to choose who they think the mafia is trying to kill in order to save them. The doctor can also choose to save him or herself. Then the mayor says "doctor go to sleep". Finally the mayor will say "policemen wake up" and "who do you think it is". The policemen will then choose one person who they think is in the mafia and the mayor will answer them yes or no and then say " policemen go to sleep". After all of this the mayor will then say "everyone wake up except for so and so" which is whoever died unless the doctor was successful in saving them. And then everyone discusses who they think the mafia is based on who died and any noises they heard or think they heard while they were asleep. During the discussion time people can declare that they are the doctor or policeman to try to sway the vote. Anyone can claim to be the doctor or policeman and lie about who they think it is in order to try to sway the vote how they want it to go. The townspeople will then vote and whoever gets the most votes against them as being the mafia will be hung whether they are or not. You then keep repeating this cycle until all of the mafia are dead or all of the citizens have been killed. So either the mafia or the townspeople will win the game. Also note that people who have been "killed" are not allowed to take part in the discussions. This is a very fun mystery game that is also a little phsycological too. Our youth groups and even young adult groups have always enjoyed it. I have also found many different versions of the rules on the internet. omg im 13 and my buddy afsana is throwing a social gathering i'm helping her plan each and every a million says both way it is gunna grow to be a makeout social gathering so try...spin the bottle. or bypass the starburst. bypass the starburst is like the position u get a starburst and u have 2 bypass it 2 somebody else yet with ur mouth like making out yet ya play dare or double dae no longer actuality or dare

i would say get one of those party sets where you actualy have to act out the whole crime.We did it at a friends house and it was fun and hard. We had to be a character and ask question after everyone gave clues about the crime.

CSI makes a board game. It looks pretty good.
*You may want to play it once before the party so that you are familar with the rules and you can time it out.
