I'm being switched to p/t at my job. I don't know my hours as of yet, the paper says they will tell me at the begining of each week. Should I stick around and see what happens? Or just start looking for another job? Or get a p/t job?

I was switched to p/t because of the slow in business due to winter time.

I would think that if you are going to get a lot less money and you would need the hours, you should start looking. If you really do not need the hours, you could just see what happens. You didn't say how long you have been there or how well you like your job. I would think if you got another part time job, that that would probably wear on you after a while.

It is a lot to think about. Write a list of your options and see what outweighs the other. Don't quit before you get another job though. To me it sounds as though a new opportunity may be coming your way. Best wishes to you.

I would start by checking with your local unemployment office. Being that you have been put from full time to part time, you may be able to collect unemployment while you search for another job that is full time. Your benefits from unemployment are going to be about the same if you stuck with the job at part time and you will leave yourself free to seek out employment. The unemployment office can assist you in searching for a position in your field that is full time.

Check the hours first. If they're reasonable, and your pay is still good, keep the job. It's not worth it to go unemployed just because you're unsure. But just in case, start looking for new employment opportunities. Don't apply to any, just start looking for potentials. Good luck!

Start looking as it could take a while to find a new job if you need one, but keep the one you have for now. They might start out giving you decent hours, but then keep cutting and cutting. It's not stable. I'm sure you could find a more stable position to be in.

Unfortunately, the world is going to part-time so that they don't have to pay benefits. Get a second part-time job for now. Good Luck!

Will part time support your living expenses and monetary needs? If so, and you like your job, stick with it. If not, then look for a new job.

seee why you were demoted first, ask management. If they plan on going throuh some prolonged hard times then start looking around. I don't know what you do or if its a job you like but its always good to be open to change:)

Keep working and look for another job while you are working.

I would look for another job. See if they will give you a pay raise.
