If you have not bought a lottery ticket, then it is just a scam. If it was sent to your email, you need to report it is spam so that the server can deal with the people who sent it.

Nothing is really free, however, these companies send such letters to get you to open them. Once you do, they most likely install spyware on your computer. I would suggest that you run a spyware program to get rid of the small file that they have installed on your computer.

Of course, they are also wanting you to sign up for other things. Then your email will be swamped with spam mail.

Never open mail from people that you do not know. That is a good way to also get a virus that will wipe out your computer. :)

Go to yahoo or google and type in the name of the supposed lottery. There should be a site that tells you about scams and how to report them.

I have run into these before. They are scams. You can stop other people from falling victim by telling everyone with a question like this exactly what I just told you.

Delete, delete, delete.
Legitimate lotteries do not send e-mails.
Do not correspond with these people, better yet, don't read the e-mails.
