It does not matter what her age is he has been molesting her.
If she is not old enough to consent it is rape. She should tell anyone that will listen. She has legal rights and can file criminal charges. In some states there is a statue of limitations. In most states you can emancipate yourself at 16. Whatever she does, she should not fear there are many of us. Key is to get help, and take back her power. He has stolen enough from her. Time to take control and her life back. Get counseling form anywhere you can.
She must be strong to survive what she has.
Whatever it takes, most of all she needs to get out.
If she isn't strong enough you help her, start by telling your parents and ask them to help you get her help.

Call the cops. If that's too harsh, then dig around for some help and support organizations. Obviously, you have internet access. It might take as long as ten minutes to come up with a list of options. No need at all to wait for 18. Still in school? Talk to a teacher, or the principal. These people have to take such allegations seriously.

It's been going on five years. Your just now finding out about it doesn't suddenly make it "life and death".

She needs to explore her options with a lawyer that knows family law and the possibilities for criminal and civil cases for this.

She doesn't need a friend that is in a panic.

My best guess is that if she went ahead and moved out and let her father know why, no one would call the cops and make her come home.

you didn't say what the abuse consisted of , so I am assuming it was he didn't let her sleep with her B.F. or some other stupid reason, The answer is she can leave at any time and her father will probable be happy, he could end up as one man did about 7 years ago, his daughter was angry because the dad would not allow her B,F, inside her room so she accused him of sexual abuse he was convicted from her testimony, she later recanted her story , After he had spent 7 years in prison, she didn't even get probation, JUSTICE? FOR WHO?

She can probably go and live with another family member that is is nice, or run away and stay at a hotel perhaps. But you have to be an adult to move out.(Unless you ake it out with the law)

Tell her to go to The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network is the nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization. It helped me w/ my mom's boyfriend. I figured out what to do with their help. Here is the link below.
