I seriously don't get it. I have many friends here. Persoanlly I'm not America born, and I've always been a fan of Madonna. What is it about her thats disliked in the US>. When I listen to her my friends i think consider it as trash, or crappy music, that someone with a bad taste would listen to..

I am personally a fan of Madonna's but she has done some questionable things that make her less liked. She is constantly offending people's religious beliefs, and she went through a "phase" that was all about sex and that turned many people off. SHe has also seemed to have gone from a more pure type of music to electronic driven music which fans that grew up with her do not like as much (since we are all getting a bit old for club music) and it is hard for her to get some younger fans because no kid thinks the music their parents used to listen to is cool!!

I think she had some good music back in the 80's, but every interview that I see her, she is very arrogant and fake, and always like to insult religious people, especially catholics. Since insulting Catholic is not a big deal in today's' western society, it is a big joke. Now if she insulted Muslims, then we will see riots in London and Paris and other cities with a lot of Muslims. So let her just keep going to Africa and buy more little African kids for her collection

personally answering this question... madonna is a slut. she also puts on shows just to insult the christian faith. believe it or not, america was founded on the basics of the christian faith, so madonna is a slutty insult to the christian faith, and therefore, american basic values...
personally, i think that her music is for those with crappy musical tastes, because i think her music is trash... it's an OD on female sexuallity... and it makes younger people think that it is alright to be sexually active whenever because nothing will ever happen... and that's just not true...

Madonna just sounds like ****. I hate pop music and that is what she is. She is trying to look like a teen when she is like 50 or 60 years old.

I don't think her music is terrible, and I think she is a very savy business woman. However, I also think she puts people off by acting like the rules do not apply to her. It is one thing to be groundbreaking and a trend setter but sometimes I really just thinks she does things to throw stuff up in peoples faces.
