Chelsea. Without playing their best, they are joint top. When they hit the groove, they'll run away from the chasing pack.

At present, Man Utd look the best. Arsenal put in a couple of excellent performances, but they were against Watford and Reading. Both these teams allowed Arsenal the time and space to walk the ball into the net. Some of the stronger teams have sussed Arsenal out, i.e. they never use their width, so pressure them in the middle and their attack flounders.

Van Persie's goal, though......!

Drogba has impressed this season but Chelsea in general, not so much. Man Utd seem to be in a consistent form; great passing, some good goals; Rooney coming back to form and Saha even looking almost dangerous. Scholes has hit some form and Solksjaar (is that how you spell it?) back to his mischevious best.

Other than that, I like watching Bolton scrape out their wins. If they can get some consistency, they'll be vieing for 3rd place behind the obvious two (and I don't mean Arsenal).

What a surprise that a Gooner has asked this question after Arsenal showed glimpses of Arsenal at their best against Reading.

Honestly though if Arsenal hit top form there is no stopping them.

Things ain't looking good for Liverpool at the mo, but I'll be happy as long as Man Ure don't win the league.

Definitely Man Utd,they are in top gear now and all their old legs suddenly look like new signings. But Portsmouth just wont be ignored this season playing beautiful football even against the top teams(read Chelsea) plus the ressurection of King Kanu. They come a close second.

Reading has so far defied the odds by staying at mid-table with some impressive display already this season. they beat Middlesbrough 3-2 after being 2 goals down, managed to hold Manchester United to a 1-1 draw, beat West Ham United 1-0 away from home. everyone would say Manchester United, but for me Reading deserve some credit for their great performance.

man utd have been very consistent, arsenal are starting to play well, chelsea have had drogba on fire, liverpool give me a headache, but the best team id have to say so far is bolton big sam does it every year with no money, this year they give him a few million and he bought anelka, still dunno about that buy but he doesnt make many mistakes, no one seems to be able to score against bolton and player for player they're only just good enought to be in the prem but as a team they are fantastic, why wasn't big sam given the england job?

manchester united have looked the strongest so far this season, they have the talent available in their youngsters and the experience in them to mount a serious title challenge, they narrowly missed out last season and look to be out for revenge.

where as chelsea have the consistency and the players are performing but they will be missing cech for most of the season and they will definately miss him away from stamford bridge.

my guess is i hate to say it but manchester united are going to win the barclays premiership this season.
