Thats what im doing. Im moving to North Carolina from Kansas, where theres NOTHING at all to do. Im 19 and ive lived here in this medium-sized city in Kansas, for most of my life. Ive always said as long as ive been here that I would like to go and see what else the world has to offer. Because in Kansas like I said, theres NOTHING here, and its like we're seperated from the rest of the world. And it makes me soooo envious to see other cities on TV like L.A. and New York City, and Dallas, and so on, to see that they have so much going on, like different cultures, special events, amusement parks, and so on...It just makes me sooo mad for me to be stuck in lil ol' yellow brick road, Kansas with Dorothy and Toto from the Wizard of Oz. But recently a friend of mine offered me a opportunity to come and live with them or atleast visit, cuz they know how much I hate it here. I finally excepted since I aint got nothin else goin on in my life. But Im just soo nervous cuz ive never been to NC.

You should not pass up this opportunity. At 19, you should broaden your horizons and learn about a new environment. This will help you decide what you want in life. You are lucky that you will not be alone, having a friend there will make the adjustment soooo much easier. C'mon, admit it, if you don't make this move, you know you'll regret it for the rest of your life. What's the worst that could happen? If you truly don't like living there, you could always move back home, or move to another state. I moved out of state 4 years ago, unsure and scared. I could not be happier, the move was the best decision of my life. I will, for the rest of my life, regret not having made the move sooner.

ive lived in NC my whole life and dont believe B-t0ok because its not true.. it can be boring at times and it depends on where you live if you live in the middle of NOWHERE then yeah its boring as all.. but if you live near a city then theres plenty of things to do and see.. and theres always day trips the mountains and the beaches are always close. and you can get a good job.. i dont have a degree and didnt go to college or anything and i have a high paying high profile job. it just matters who you know and if you can do the job well and if you have any experience in the field youre looking in.. and even if you dont most north carolinians are willing to give you a chance. moving to a new place can be a scary thing but dont worry you will love it here there are new people moving here all the time.. my best friend moved here from england and she loves it too! so dont worry as long as you have a positive outlook you can make anyplace work.

Definitely accept the opportunity to go somewhere new. Make it conditional, so if things don't work out, you can return or move onto somewhere else.

Enroll in a community college and find a part-time job. There is nothing better in the world today than a college education. It is hard to see that where you are in life, but you will appreciate the choice in doing that later in life. Opportunities are boundless with an education.

Good luck and have fun with your new adventure!

Ha! North Carolina is boring! unless you goto Carowinds or the Beaches but other than that it's pretty much boring my family had to move because it was so boring. And if you don't have a college degree and are certified in a certain field DO NOT expect a good job.

Go for it! You are young and have a lifetime ahead of you. Keep in mind that no matter where you go, life is what you make it. You can't expect Utopia in NC (but I have lived there and it's close).

Life is short, no regrets, Hakuna Matata, live each day like it is your last, etc, etc!!

Besides, as you know, you can always go home ;-)

Actually I wouldn't. If I moved somewhere I never been to before, how would I know if I would be robbed the next day? I have to know the area first. And being me, I'd take a while "inspecting" the place. ^^

I did. It's a big step and a scary one. Go have fun! If you decide to stay, find a job and get your own place! (Remember Benj. Franklin said: "Guests and fish start to stink after three days"!)

Move. You'll regret it the rest of your life if you don't. If you don't like it, you can come home.
