and I found an old Valentine's Day card (dated 2004) to my husband from one of his ex's. I know the date or his ex isn't anything to be worried about, but I am bothered that he hasn't thrown it away. Should I be worried about that?

No worries. To be honest, men are not as sentimental as women. I am sure he forgot it was there. Trust me, he could care less about some random V-Day Card.

I have to admit, despite all logic to the contrary (and this is for the guys out there) I would be furious to find a valentines card, to anyone at any time that he had kept, forgetfullness or otherwise.
I don't know why but that's the way it is. Perhaps something instinctual? Anyway, I don't have much advise to offer, just commiserations.

You should not even worry about it. I'm sure that you still have things from some of your exs. so let it go or you could cause problems that could be easily avoided. (especially if he hasn't given u a reason to distrust him)
PS. by the way don't throw it away, just put it back! u wouldn't want him to throw your stuff away so don't throw his out

Don't worry about it. Either he just forgot to throw it away, or it is just something he kept to remind him of a time in his PAST. It's not necessary for a person to completely "clean house" before getting into a relationship, people have lives before marraige. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm happily married and i still have sentimental things from a past relationship but, that doesn't mean i want to be with my ex. It's just a representation of past good times.

Na.. just throw it away, men shove things in the darnest places then forget that they exsist he probably doesnt even realize he still has it there for wont miss it if it goes missing.. dont worry about it, just trash it.. if he ever asks about it, just act like u have no idea what he's talking about, he'll think he misplaced it, but i doubt he even knows he still has it..
