I think the profession you are thinking of is an insurance investigator. You will go to many different places to investigate insurance claims and perhaps determine if some criminal activity has been perpetrated.

if you traval alot i would pick things up cheep and sell them on ebay say like a buda from india cheap there expancive on ebay:)
