Everyone wants to be popular. It makes people feel important
when they are popular, but is your popularity worth the risk of losing your REAL FRIENDS??? Not saying that you cant have both. I take it you are in high school and that is a time when people start to find out who they want to be.

Being a "preppy" is just a label. You can be popular and not be a "preppy" or a "nerd" or a jock. If you want to be a preppy then do it....if you just want to be popular........then do that.

Be friendly to everyone. Say hi to everyone. Offer to help people.
Be a kind person. You may not have the title of "popular" but I guarantee you will become popular and you will take your non
preppy friends into popularity with you!!!

Good luck.....school is a tough road, but you can do it!!!

No, its not bad!! there isnt a real meaning of popular. it just mean you just have a lot of friends. dont believe all of that t.v."cliquey" stuff. its not real life!! and i dont think your friends should call them "preps" just because they wear brands that look expensive (but they are really not)!!!! anyway... that stuff isnt true what you see on t.v.!! if people at your school are known for something they have that is not right or they have done something bad or maybe they just have a lot of money!! so basically it means you have a lot of friends!!!!! so dont worry about being popular. its just a "cliquey" thing that is on movies and t.v.

well sorta. its natural for people to want to be more popular then what they already are. just dont forget who your real friends are. you can hang out with the 'preps' just dont let the people you care about slip by. just be yourself. if people dont like you for you then forget them.

No, not necessarily. If your relationships with your best friend gets at stake, though, is it worth being popular?
