I think an i-pod would be an excellent choice to demonstrate both our technology and our apparent need to drown out our consciousness. An obvious choice would be an automobile: Perhaps a Hummer H1 or an Aston Martin with multiple DVD players and one-way glass installed to demonstrate our selfishness. Lastly I would suggest some disgustingly filthy rag that passes as clothing in some place like Bombay or Rio de Janerio.
