For the last 2 weeks the joints in my hands have felt inflamed, this achy feeling runs up all the way to my elbow and the joint there feels achy too. My knees and feet feel sort of achy too. It is the sort of achy feeling like when you have the flu. I am only 30 years old, what could be causing this?

I'd be willing to bet that you have tendonitis.. it's an inflammation of the tendons and it can cause pain in the joints and surrounding areas.

I wouldn't say it's carpal tunnel like I saw someone else say, carpal tunnel ONLY occurs in the wrist and hands, and is accompanied by numbness.. not just pain.

So, see your doctor and have them check for tendonitis, they'll give you an anti-inflammatory, and you should be fine.

I'm not even 30, and I have those symptoms occasionally as well. It could very well be arthritis, or carpal tunnel.

I realize carpal tunnel only occurs in the hands...

It could be arthritic relating to weather changes. My sister gets that.

You could be having flu. May be you are overworking mentally/physically/emotionally? Could be stress. Go to your doc. Wait for her to voice her opinion. Talk to her about fibromyalgia. Im not sure if I spelt it right.
