Well I would google it, there might be a website where they have a whole bunch of different drivers to download for free, if not, then call HP and ask them how to get it. The might be able to e mail it to you

I dont think there is a compaq site anymore because HP took over compaq, so just search for the HP site and it should be on there. If not then contact someone from the website and they should be able to help.

If the recommended driver from the HP site does not work, then either the sound device is bad or you have a diffrent sound device than what is listed for your model. It may also be that the driver is not installing correctly, if none of the above.
