It will have your name, account number, bank/building society name, and may have record of deposits made with it. If you are very lucky someone might deposit some money into your account.
I was surprised by how much detail someone who found it could discover about you, from a deposit book, and how a dishonest stranger could use this information, to find out more about you. But my bank advises me that as there are no security details, as regards your account, the most they could do is deposit money into your account.
Get a new deposit book from your bank, and cross your fingers for luck.

It has both your sort code and account number. I'm not sure quite whether this is enough for identity theft, but they might need your name and address as well. The best thing to do is contact your bank. They can advise. If the worst comes to the worst they'll sort you out with a new account, and you'll have to set up your standing orders again, and inform anyone who has direct debit on your account.

Don't worry, all they can do is credit your account.

The info on a paying in book is the same as a cheque. You don't worry about sending a cheque through the post.

If you are concerned, ring the bank for re-assurance.

Do you mean that your direct deposit payroll was not credited to your account or do you mean that you did not enter your payroll amount in your check book? Either way, if you don't know whether to be worried or not you must have enough money that it doesn't make a difference. If it were me I would definitely be concerned.

Yeah as whoever found it will have your account no & sort code. Contact your bank as this could result in identity fraud.
