We're wanting to see some nice Fall foliage and scenery this next weekend and are looking for ideas of where to go. We lvie in the Seattle area and don't mind a little bit of a drive, hopefully nothing that involves alot of hiking though. Any suggestions?

We went to Renton/Maple Valley this past weekend to see the Cedar River salmon run and the fall colors there were beautiful. There are 4 different places to stop, and naturalists will walk you to the best viewing places and teach you about the salmon...all while enjoying the outdoors and the fall colors all around you. The walking is not strenuous-all flat walking paths and not too far (maybe 1/8-1/4 of a mile).

We were in Washington state just two years ago in August and we rented a car in Seattle and drove on I-5 down to Olympia. We saw plenty of foliage. And we saw more when we took the train back from Seattle to Southern California.

In town go to the University of Washington and the Washington Arboretum for fall foliage.

Outside the city drive east on the north Cascades Hwy 2 to the city of Leavenworth.

or a trip east on Hwy 169 to the city of Enumclaw

I live down in Olympia, and there is alot of foilage along I-5, in pretty fall colors. Also Hwy 101 out to Ocean Shores is nice.

Right now is the peak time here in Western PA but I really have no idea for your area. We are getting snow as I type this so we won't have leaves for much longer. Good luck finding a place in your area
