not a chance. cards on the table guys lets not forget that the usa (and uk) are effectively occupying forces in both afghanistan and iraq since they were the agressors in both invasions. and to those who say it was a humanitarian mission i ask you only this. Why did these governments not act to remove governments in other countries who were ( and still are) running dictatorships which are killing immensely greater numbers of their own citizens.

if national service was reintroduced over this then i would be firmly ensconsed in the concientious objector camp. if blair and bush really want to show willing then they should send their own kids to the front line. until that happens they can sod off and even if my son was old enough he would not be going to fight in any economic war.
sorry if anyone disagrees with these views but i assure you that i have no qualms about making them

I wouldn"d, but then I"m not in the Armed Forces, under orders to do just that. It"s American policy to defend the oil fields, in fact, when they first "invaded" Iraq, the oil fields were the only part of the Country to be defended by them. The rest of the Country was running riot with every Government building being ransacked and shops being looted. Then again, look who"s in charge, George W. enough said.

I would sacrifice my life as are many that have trully been to the Middle East and asked to go back for the true freedom of the people.

We In the USA dont know what It Is like to not have fredom and what It Is like to live In bondage to a corupt country. It IS easy to judge by what the politicians say and we need to ask the people that are In the military what Is trully going on.

I am proud of those boys that serve our country so others can have freedom

This is what I call an off question. No one is sacrificing their lives to protect oil fields - get that straight. The Iraqis want to regain the oilfields from the Americans so they are not protecting it. The Americans want to control the oil so they are stopping the Iraqis from regaining it. No one is protecting the oilfields as such because they are not in any danger.

i think all that what is going on bombing and violence is because people in the middle east are dying for these "oil fields protectors" to get out of their land so they do not need me and they didn't ask anybody to come and protect .

It isn't really a choice that people get. Blair definately told us things that later turned out to be untrue to get us into this war.

I am completely suspicious of someone who can't tell us the truth - I don't really care if it isn't intentional because then it means that it is ineptitude and incompetence - they should be able to get the facts right before they make decisions to start things like this.

No. And I'm really pissed off that they've sent my cousin and brother in law to. If Bush and Co feel so strongly they should send their kids and not someone else's.
