can get patch to stick?

I put a patch on my sons leather jacket but some of the glue wont stay on it I have ironed it more than once how can I get it to stick

Ok you should leave the iron on the patch for a couple of mintues longer. If that fails then, they sell this sticky sewing paper. I can't think of the name but you local craft store should have it, you just stick it on the back and iron it on.
