well CPVC is used for the hot water supply only! PVC is used for waste and cold water supply........i dont like slab houses because of the potential of leaks under the slab and i have worked on repairing them...after jack hammering the concrete up and all the mess with that owners say they will never build on slab again......
the houses i have built on slab, we always use copper in all applications....except the drains!

The rough in should have been installed before the slab was poured. So from there up, just make sure you clean the joints, and hold the pipe in place until the glue sets. pressure test everything before installing Sheetrock
