As a mother of twin boys - you should know that at this age, listening isn't going to be a strong character trait for either of them. You should ask their mother how she handles the situation when they do not listen to her, and try to follow the same course of discipline/action.

I would prove my worth to the mom and the position before asking for more money. If you are not having to drive very far, I think this amount is fair, and in line with what I have paid sitters in the past. If you are commuting, then perhaps you should ask for gas reimbursement in addition to your $10 per day.

well if you figure your watching 2 boys for 2 hours a day. that's only about $2.50 an hour per kid. so now you have to determine if it's a fair trade. i personally think no. but that's just my opinion. maybe let the parents know that this will be okay for a few weeks and then after that you would like an increase. if she says no then let her know that watching a child is the most important job in the world and yet it's the least well paid job.

i think $10 or perhaps $15 a day is fair, however if they are not listening you need to bring this to their mom's attention and see what you can work out.

Slave wages. I hope they want more than $10 a day worth of care. I wouldn't watch a pet turtle for that.
