In Yahoo! Messenger's Preferences, set the audio alert to the .wav file you saved. Then, as long as you're signed-in to Yahoo! Messenger, it'll play the .wav file when you get new mail.... as long as the audio alert setting doesn't get changed again.
Let me know if this works for you, too.

only if you set it up on Yahoo Messenger (Messenger menu > Preferences > Alerts & Sounds > 'I receive a message in Yahoo Mail" > check "Playing a sound", click on Browse and select your wav file)
this way everytime you receive an email message the sound will play. but you have to keep Yahoo! Messenger open in order to do this. you can't do that on the Yahoo mail page.

This Yahoo Lottery scam seems very almost actual. the standard individual might look on the photos and trademarks and think of that's valid. basically some glaring issues: diverse spelling blunders, lotteries by no skill email the winners.. and, oh specific, Yahoo would not HAVE a lottery! do no longer you think of you might have heard of it by way of now, in the event that they did? and because whilst do lotteries go with winners who did no longer purchase a value ticket: "All participant have been chosen by way of a working laptop or laptop balloting gadget drawn from 9 hundred thousand email addresses".

I don't think they let you have a sound announcement of email. Go to this page and it will explain your options:
http://search2.cc.dcn.yahoo.com/cct_search.php?ui_mode=answer&prior_transaction_id=212175&action_code=4&highlight_info=16779540,221,224&turl=http%3A%2F%2Fhelp.yahoo.com%2Fhelp%2Fus%2Fmail%2Fread%2Fread-14.html&answer_id=472633
Good Luck
p.s. I believe if you have Yahoo Messenger you can add a sound wave to alert you of your yahoo email. Check the general options page.
