That was my first thought exactly upon hearing of Kenny-Boy's untimely "demise." If you read about the circumstances of his "death," you'd find out there was only a very young doctor staffing the small emergency room where he was brought, and for some reason, Pitkin County (where Aspen is) didn't have a coroner on call that night... they had to import one from a long way away... coincidence? And then, the concept that Lay's conviction would be vacated upon his death, like it never happened, securing his family fortune, safe from litigation.

What I think happened is that they kidnapped and killed a homeless man that looked enough like Ken that when his wife idenitifed the body, no one could dispute. Of course, he was cremated right away too, if I'm not mistaken.

The perfect crime.

We have all the reasons in the world to doubt it. It was incredible timing since he was pretty much assured of spending the rest of his life in prison, so he might have found a way to disappear somehow. And don't forget the ties with Cheney and Bush ... it is possible they gave him a hand to make sure he doesn't speak of anything once he's behind bar. Those are hypothesis based on no clear facts, but the way those people are, pushes you to always doubt. And as someone else mentioned before, you cannot trust the mainstream media.

Wow... too funny. I cannot believe the lawsuit against him and his estate has been dropped. His family now gets to benefit from his greed and the people he cheated continue to suffer.

I'd bet there are some conspiracy theorists who do believe that. Probably the same people who think that Elvis is still alive, just hiding someplace.

I made a similar comment to my best friend when I heard that he had died. I'm not sure but it's definitely something to ponder.
