Redd Foxx was a great comedian. Too bad he came up during the days of such overt discrimination. At least he got some recognition of his comic genius during his lifetime.
I heard him say that he spelled Redd with two D's so people would know he wasn't writing down his favorite color, and he spelled Foxx with two X's in case anyone saw his nightclub act.

I love it.
I grew up watching it with my dad. He is gone now so when I watch it, I think of him & enjoy a good show.
