I love the lyrics to many Simon and Garfunkel songs, especially Sounds of Silence -
"And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sound of silence"
Also, Man of The World by Fleetwood Mac - very morose and poetic; Sympathy For The Devil by Rolling Stones; I love The Beatles' In My Life for its simplicity and sense of nostalgia. On a different note, I love the lyrics to many Frank Zappa's songs, including Bobby Brown Goes Down.

I don't have one, but for some reason I like to sing to these lines:
"Hungry, Feeding On Chaos, And Livin' In Sin,
Downward, Spiral, Where Do I Begin?
It All Started When I Lost My Mother,
No Love For Myself And No Love For Another
Searching To Find A Love Upon A Higher Level
Finding Nothing But Questions And Devils"
Song-Last Resort

Hi!
I've got a few, but here's some of them in my order of preference:
'Guilty feet have got no rhythm' - Careless Whisper, George Michael.
'If I said to you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?'
Bellamy Brothers
'No I can't forget this evening, Or your face as you were leaving,
But I guess that's just the way the story goes
You always smile but in your eyes your sorrow shows, Yes it shows'
Harry Nilssen - Without You.

"drink down that gin and kerosene
and come spit on bridges with me
just to keep us warm
light a match to leave me be"
"so wear me like a locket around your throat
i'll weigh you down,
i'll watch you choke
you look so good in blue"
"anticipation has a habit to set you up...."
those are definitely not the best lyrics of all time, but they are pretty awesome don't you think?

"And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death"
-Pink Floyd: "Time"
OR....
"... The day, the fattening, died.
They were singing:
Fry, Fry, It's American Fry
Drove my Chevy to the Wendy's but the Wendy's was dry
And them good ol' boys were drinking cola and Sprite
Singing this will be the day that I die
This will be the day that I die"
-Me: "American Fry" (satire of Don McLean's "American Pie" about the fastfood industry and the day McDonald's announced it would halt production of it's SuperSized meals.

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here.
Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah

IMAGINE there's no possessions
It isn't hard to do
No need for greed or hunger
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace...
