What is a wet dream?
A wet dream is when some semen (the sticky liquid that sperm is part of) comes out from a boy's penis while he is asleep. A boy may remember he had a sexual dream. Or he may just notice a wet patch on his pyjamas or on the sheets when he wakes up.
It is a good idea for a boy to wash his testicles and penis, particularly behind his foreskin if he has one, after he has had a wet dream. Because a boy may develop an infection around his penis and testicles if they are not cleaned regularly, it's a good idea to wash them daily.

Wet dreams are a result of a natural buildup of semen in a guy. Whereas a woman (female) is born with all the eggs she will ever produce, a guy's body makes millions & millions of sperm cells during his lifetime.
Typically, wet dreams occur to young teenage guys before they knnow about masturbation. It's the body's way of naturally releasing the buildup of semen.
Also, overly sexed guys may have them. There is no fixed number to how many a guy has in a week, as each individual guy is totally different. I would think once he has a wet dream & discovers masturbation, there's not a lot of buildup of semen as he's now happy pounding his pud.

Some folks would like to say that "the earth moved" but that is not the reason. Biology is the reason. Your body is changing into its adult form, complete with reproductive system that is readying itself for use. Mental stimulation through dreams usually causes the night time emissions. Its all perfectly normal. Most guys prefer to masterbate instead of waking up to sticky sheets. 50% of all guys admitted they masterbated, the other 50% lied and said they didn't. The biological function is going to happen either way you go. Its just part of life.

Wet dreams have nothing to do with the movement of the earth, at least not anymore than masturbation makes you blind.
They are a natural expulsion of your sperm, releasing pent up sexual energy (usually during an erotic dream, but not always).
Nothing to worry about at all.

Wet Dreas happen whenever your testes have produced so much semen that it no longer has room for it all. When you have too much of a buildup - or if you are close and you have a sexual dream it is also possible. Hope this curbs some of your confusion.
