Low Water Level. Add more coolant and water to the radiator. Start looking for a leak. If it's not leaking on the outside of the car then it's possible the heater core is leaking. If your windshield fogs up in the morning then your heat core is leaking and needs to be replaced. If you can not find a leak out side or the heater core is not leaking then check the oil and see if it looks like chocolate milk. If it does then you have a head gasket problem (On a FORD? Never Happens) (That last bit was sarcastic) Fords often have head gasket issues on the 3.0 and 3.8 L motors. That’s why I mentioned to check the oil if you can not find a leak.

If the water in the radiator is low, it will not flow when you are sitting at a light. Fill the radiator and when you go fast the water flows into the hearter core.
Check the water leavel.
Hope this helps

Fan belt, thermostat or water pump. In that order. Do the belt first.
