Im really worried that he's hooked - every morning my dog's off to the bookies and every night he comes back drunk, broke and angry. How can I get him out of this cycle?

show him that there's more in this world than gambling...tell him to spend a whole day with you & your friends & just have some fun. Spend more time with help, that way, he'll gradually spend less time at the casinos.

Best way to break a cycle aka habit aka addiction is to replace it with some other behavior........a good behavior.
Time for you to be firm with your dawg.

Unfortunately you can't get him to stop....Only he can decide that he's had enough....
Why would you stay with him.??? Get out now before he loses everything he's got and everything you've got.!!!
Leave him to drown in his own unhappiness - or get help!
