I think congress will pass that legislation but their majority will not be veto proof.

It's an interesting question. I think public opinion has shifted and even some republicans realize how out of whack things are. So maybe Bush wouldn't veto it if it came through.

Gates and Buffet stated on the record last week in a question and answer session, that they do not agree with our current unequal tax code. According to their answer all of their employees including the lowest earners pay a much higher tax percentage than they do and that they do not agree with the code. Warren elaborated by saying he could very easily shift his money with today's current laws and pay absolutely no taxes. But, that he refuses to do that, despite the fact that most of the wealthiest individuals do. He smiled and would not name names.

I believe that because Bush has added the word "trillion" to the national debt and has borrowed more money than all of the Presidents in history combined, we will all pay for it for many years to come.
And he isn't worried about it, because that's the way the game is played. Pass on the debt to the next party.

No, it will not happen as the democrats will not have enough votes to overturn Bush's veto. I don't even think the democrats will try it.

I doubt they would seriously. They don't want to undermine their chances in 2008.
