In his book "Misogyny: The World's Oldest Prejudice", the late journalist Jack Holland gives a history of the evolution of the hatred of women, and basically asserts that its origin is man's fear of "what women would do if they were free to do it". How can women at last be freed from the cruelty and oppression they have suffered for so long?

This is a perennial paradox. Women give birth to men yet from time immemorial women also suffer the cruelty of men.
Germain Greer said: women have no idea how much men hate them. Women insist on following men where men don't want them to follow.
If there is a cure, it will be up to women to find it.
Women will need to learn to live in harmony with men or live without them. There is no other way.

I've always thought men were a lot nicer to me than women. To me women have been the cruel oppressors, starting with my mother, then my older sister, various teachers, and a few girl friends. Then, later in the office they were always the back stabbers while men were supportive and helpful. They are always the ones who stop and help when you get a flat. I've never had a woman do that!

The cure for worldwide misogyny is a true union of the sexes, for human beings are one originally.

Personally, I don't feel oppressed. But in the Bible it was Eve's fault that Adam ate the apple...so right off the bat in the "beginning of time" woman is "bad". So anyone in the Christian world will be raised with that preconceived notion.

You know that the most efficient civilizations - specifically bee and ant hives - do not have men. Well, they have them for the specific purpose of breeding, and then they kill them (by kicking them out of the hive during the winter).

Once women learn their place, there won't be any need to continue whining about it.

Seriously though, why worry about it? Women in the U.S. have equal rights and more luxuries in many ways. The battling of the sexes is quite silly. Why not instead embrace diversity like we do with other races, cultures, and ethinic groups?

Thought I´m not misogynous I think that when opposites exists their will always be conflict, so the solution to the problem is removing opposites.

I think as long as there are men and woman on this earth we will have this fight. And a stupid one it is. There will be no life without the other and that alone makes us equals!
