If you look on the intake just infrount of the throttle body it is stampted into the intake.
If it is carbed it will still be stampted into the intake manafold.

Just to be sure, check the imprint on your distributor cap.

V6 2.8L 1,2,3,4,5,6 clockwise
V6 3.1L 1,2,3,4,5,6 clockwise
V6 3.8L 1,6,5,4,3,2 clockwise
V6 4.3L 1,6,5,4,3,2, clockwise according to Chilton manual.regards
