You're not the only one who is fed up of hearing about it.

Religion has next to no relevance in my life and I'd appreciate it if other people would keep their looney tunes personal beliefs to themselves - that goes for all faiths.

Go and have an old pray if that's what floats your boat and then ...basically shut it.

Yes, it's LIFE, I'm afraid, different times, different type of media, but it was probably the same when the Moors invaded Spain, and stayed there for three hundred years, or when the Romans invaded Britain, when we were mostly pagans. I agree in essence in what you are saying, but if "it" goes away, then to be sure another fracas will take it's place!

Oh no. It's here forever. Religion is newsworthy for many mortals.

Too vague, what specific religious fracas? - try to concentrate your righteous malice at a more specific target, I'm sure I would agree with you.

By the way, you are aware of the "off" button?

Unfortunately, ignoring an issue doesn't make it "go away". It merely makes those who have the issue find alternative ways of getting themselves heard. The threat to use threatening behaviour, gets them on the news, using threatening behaviour, gets them on the news... so my friend the best way to get rid of an issue is to spend time talking about it, but not maybe in the way they talk today. It seems that to start talks you need to make a threat in the first place. Maybe we should stop weilding the mighty hand and bullying poeple into talks... why not invite them for a cup of tea and a slice of cake eh? lol

element of the rationalization the debates look ineffective is via fact they have an inclination to alter into repetitive and intellectually barren. the two factors enter the communicate understanding they gained't convince the different, and you get those generic forward and backward flows of arguments and counter-arguments. although, the rationalization debating faith is considerable is via fact religions are no longer stated as comments, yet as info. the communicate approximately faith is on the middle a debate approximately epistemology. And that communicate does have a factor. there is acceptable and incorrect while it includes standards of wisdom and so on. (There are standards of wisdom that carry approximately contradictions, and others that don't). the communicate rages on, although, via fact no person ever makes it that a procedures into the woods. human beings debate floor features, "What did Jesus easily say? Did jesus easily exist? Does the Bible have contradictions?"... and so on... instead of the underlying disagreements: "while provided with a thought, how do you establish if it is authentic or fake? What are the factors of evidence? Are there procedures wherein your technique of aquiring wisdom can carry approximately contradictions?"...and so on instead of addressing the vast underlying subjects, human beings get all emotional via fact faith is definitely one of those huge element of their lives. The question of no count if god exists takes on a value lots greater suitable than it easily merits, via fact human beings equate their non secular ideals with morality, wish, convenience, and different different issues. perhaps sooner or later absolutely everyone will agree on a generic for wisdom, and all non secular debates will stop. i'm no longer keeping my breath, nonetheless...

Give it another 30 years. A nice chunk of the Christian influences will fade away with the passing of the older generations.
