My wife miscarried at around 8-9 weeks.
We were advised to wait until her next period before trying again.
She caught very very quickly and carried our daughter full term.

My personal feeling is that many doctors are overly cautious and advise waiting a long time in case they get blamed should another miscarriage occur.
I also think an important factor is feeling ready, not rushing back into it unless __you__ want to, but not delaying it __just__ because some stuffy white coat says so.
But do have a check up to ensure there is nothing contributing to a miscarriage that you can 'fix'.
Make sure you are taking folic acid so it is in your system before conception.

Good Luck :-)

Doctors usually say wait 6 months until your body has returned to normal, my friend fell pregnant again 5 weeks later and was fine. I think you should wait as long as you feel is right for you both, psychologically. Good Luck x.

Sorry to hear this........I have been thru this 2 times.......lost at 7 weeks. Dr told me to wait 4-6 months to try again. Gives you time to heal and get healthy again.

Psychologically speaking enough time to mourn the loss. Biologically speaking enough time for the body to heal and get it's immune system strong again (3 - 6 months). Good luck.

big hugs i know what you are going through. :-(

Doctors use to say to wait 3 months but my friend who miscarried a few weeks ago was told to try straight away !!

personally i think its best to wait at least a month or so just to let things settle down..... no need to rush into things.

sorry about your loss.
as you were only 7 weeks, there should not be any medical reasons why you cannot try straight away, when you feel ready.

Check with your OB/GYN. They will know the particulars of your situation and your health. You may want to discuss family and personal history with them if they are not aware of it.
