if you're talking about the engine under the hood, there's a rebuilder called "target" that sells a fair engine at a fair price. the labor is up to you and whoever you get to do the work for you. i would expect $2000 for the whole package if it's a V-8. contact your nearest garage or parts store for a line on "target".

More than the car is worth. Get another car and sell the parts off your 1992. The transmission is worth about $500.

3 grand for a good job. It's a lot for a car that's only worth about 2500
