Perhaps if it were more daring non-linear logic and enigmatically anomalous imagination, then "maybe". As it is, "REALITY" is already saturated with overrated linear imagination - just look around you and you cannot help but feeling suffocated by all that propaganda pollution beating down on you. And the worst part of it is, we are the ones paying for all that "imaginative poop". Oh yeah, and then there are imaginative soap operas, imaginative talk shows, imaginative copycat music, imaginatively fresh rap crap, Rocky part XX, imaginatively regurgitated philosophy, imaginative strategies, imaginative finances, imaginative gadgets, ................. (I'm getting dizzy imagining all the imaginative stuff yet to be created by our imaginative fellow human beings ....... May I just "smell the roses" and take a quick nap in your not-so-imaginary garden, PLEASE?)

What a fun question!
Everything in reality is a perception (imagination). For instance, I live around Cincinatti, and there's a theme park with a ride called "Drop Zone". It's pretty standard; they pick you up and drop you. But when you're up there, it's cold, the wind is blowing, you can see for quite some way... your experience is going to be different every time, and vary from person to person. I wear glasses and have horrible vision, so when I took off my glasses for the ride, all that I could see in the blackness around me were blurs of light and a little motion. It was a fantastic feeling. Now, someone who's afraid of heights who is somehow persuaded to go on that ride would probably have a different feeling.
But it all happened because I imagined different things while I was up there.
So I guess what I'm saying is that imagination is already extremely prevalent, in everyone. You've never been sitting at work and imagined punching your boss in the nuts as he walked by?

If you want a standard answer though, then yes, things would be very different if we had "more imagination." People would hardly ever get anything done - which is intolerable in today's society. People need imagination, but they can't let it rule them. That's called schizophrenia.

I think I get this question... Our (collective) realities as sentient beings would be different in that our views/perceptions would be expansive. We could (comparitively) do more than just exists in our individual universes. With greater imagination, we wouldn't be limited to the world as we sense it with the five basics: sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. There would be a 6th and 7th and 8th and more senses available, or just the ability to percieve things differently, see things in 4 or 5 dimensions...
But right now, our brains are too limited and need to filter out a lot of that extra info that is believed to be out there... which is too bad. If people knew there was more out there than what we could sense, things would be different... maybe not better, but definitely more interesting.

yes, it think it makes a whole lot of difference. see, if you have a great imagination, you can be happier and more tolerant of others. and be more compassionate. that is because you know how it is to feel good so ( if you're not narrow minded) then you can share the feeling and extend it to others. then whatever life throws at you, you would be able to handle it and deal with it. and that makes you realize that reality is not that bad after all, because you know how to make yourself better

Yes. We would be able to comprehend and interpret more. Also, there would be more creative inventions and our lives in general would be different because of those inventions.
