The movies that the studios are producing now are all the same - boring, corny, and a recycling of same old plot. For movies belonging to the "scary" genre I suggest that you press the rewind button and go back to a time when studio produced original and unique material. True it true that Generation X and the Millennium Generation may think these old films stupid, but they've never seen them or heard of them and really will wet their pants and they'll go home looking over their shoulders and sleeping with thei lights on.

Old movies from our parents and great grandparents time (and further back) are grand. So, when you get done reading this go to your local Blockbuster and see what their is to see.

I will not tell you what titles you should rent because I would be ruining the fun of discovery for you.

i rented the movie an american haunting haven't seen it yet. i am having a party and my daughters friends are coming over (17 and 18 year olds) what to make it fun and scary and i live by some wooded area. i'm going to run a tv and dvd player out there set it up rolls bales of hay for seating. charge them $1.00 to get in. the point of that is to see how long they can last out there. who ever is left at the end of the movie gets the pot of money. if more than one left at the end they will split it. i tell them feel free to leave at anytime you can't handle it. the wusses! lol thought that would be different. i picked an american haunting because it is new and i am hoping none of her friends have seen it.

Dead birds ... really scary and the title has NOTHING to do with birds.Movies is based in 1863. A group robbs a confederate bank and stops to rest overnight at an old house. House is haunted ...I dont want to give to much away. See amazon.com for more reviews about this movie

Just when you think it couldn't get worse, it gets worse.

Not for the kiddies, however.
