You can find the sex of the baby at 17-20 weeks. My wife is 12 weeks and we heard the heart beat.

At this point, definitely too early!! I found out at 20 weeks...that's the norm these days. Unless you have the Amniocentesis which checks the genes through the Amniotic Fluid, you won't be able to tell until at least 17/18 weeks. Before that, the male/female parts actually look the same (like boy parts), so you can be easily confused!!

More than likely, the baby will look like a little bean or an alien...I'd say that's what my daughter looked like at 12 weeks!! : ) Good luck!

That early in the pregnancy there is nothing for them to see as far as sex organs. They haven't even developed yet. They wouldn't even look to find out the sex yet. At 11 weeks they are checking to make sure the baby is growing and to make sure everything looks ok. They won't send you for your level II ultrasound until you are 18-20 weeks, that is the one where they tell you what you are having. At about 16-17 weeks they can say "I believe it is a girl/boy" but they sometimes can't be sure at that point. I am 18 weeks and go for my level II on Thursday.

Sorry to disappoint but that is too early. I heard of someone finding out once at 14 weeks, but that blew me away. I went in at 16 weeks and they couldn't tell (shy baby), and I haven't had an ultrasound since, I am now 27 weeks! Be patient, usually it is between 17-22 weeks for gender results, you can still find out after 22 weeks, but that's when most women have their first ultrasound and some lucky women get their second ultrasound then. Sorry to disappoint, but congrats on the baby!

I had an ultrasound every two weeks from week 6 and the first time we could see genitalia was week 18, but it was still too small to say for sure. AT 22 weeks he was about 85% sure she was a girl and she is. I hope that helps.

Yes, you won't see much yet on the ultrasound. It's closer to 17-20 weeks when they can see the sex of the baby. You will have another ultrasound closer to 20 weeks to check for other things like organs, head, limbs, heart and heart rate and that's usually when they can pick up the sex too.

I was 18 weeks pg when I found out, but I've heard you can find out as early as 14 weeks, but it's easiest to tell between 18-20 weeks. Good luck!

I was told by my doctor that you can usually tell between 15 and 20 weeks. If you want to know the sex, look for a turtle for a boy, or a hamburger for a girl, lol!!!

I believe its alittle to early to find out the sex. I never find out the sex until i was almost 21wks but that was because i had to reschedule. I think its anywheres from 16-20 wks that you'll be able to see the sex.
